Most events will automatically import matches via the API. For events without FMS sync, you can manually import matches.

Access

Any user with the Lead queuer role can update the match list. From the volunteer menu, select the “Manual match import” option.

Get or create a schedule

FMS export

Create a schedule report from FMS or ask the FTA to generate one for you. Open the report in Excel or Google Sheets and make the following modifications:

  1. Remove the header rows
  2. Remove the match time column
  3. Remove lunch and any other breaks

Copy all match rows from the report including the description and 6 station columns.

Manual

Create a document with the following format:

  • One match per line
  • Each line consists of these elements in order: Match type, match number, blue 1, blue 2, blue 3, red 1, red 2, red 3
  • Each element is whitespace delimited
  • Match type is one of “Practice”, “Qualification”, “Playoff”, or “Final”

Import matches

Paste the matches copied from above into the text field on the manual match import page.

Review the pasted schedule to ensure it is correct. Errors are shown in magenta. Warnings are shown in yellow.

Click “Import # matches” once any errors are resolved.

Manually insert breaks

After importing matches, breaks must be manually added back to the match schedule.

For qualification matches, make sure you insert “Lunch”, “End of day” and “Alliance selection” breaks.

Delete matches

In the event of a match schedule change or incorrect import, tap the respective button under the “Danger zone” section.
